Renville County adopts claims resolutions, approves preliminary 2025 budget and salary guidance

Renville County commissioners adopted Resolution 2024-14 (Aug. 6) and Resolution 2024-15 (Aug. 20) authorizing payment of vendor claims for August 2024. The minutes list numerous payees and amounts, including a $22,064.00 invoice to Farden Construction for crushed gravel and a $7,947.99 purchase recorded as a trailer for UTV (Pure Powersports) supported in part by a Stonegarden grant. The board directed the county auditor to draw warrants for the approved claims.
At the Aug. 6 meeting the board also voted to leave all salaries at the recommended level for the 2025 budget and approved the Preliminary Budget as presented. The Aug. 20 minutes include a detailed check history and report total expenditures by fund for August 2024: General $184,756.30; Road & Bridge $49,139.60; Highway Tax $44,023.74; 9-1-1 $1,282.50; Veteran Service $1,085.89; County Agent $11,432.84; Weed Control $5,477.88; Sheriff Reserve $14,898.00.
The resolutions and budget actions were recorded in the county minutes and the county auditor is authorized to issue warrants and incorporate the approved figures into the budget documents on file.
