Commissioners review road operations, approve striping estimate and motorgrader bid planning

Road Supervisor Sean Mattern told the board on Aug. 6 that the county had finished mowing the top cut along county roads and had placed gravel in the Park Bar parking lot, with two loads left at Mouse River Park for future use.
At the Aug. 20 meeting Mattern reviewed specifications for the motorgrader bid scheduled for October and reported he had received a $20,000 estimate for road striping; the striping amount was included in his 2024 budget. These operational updates were provided to the board for budgeting and procurement planning.
