The board authorized Resolution 2024‑06 to use up to $31,000 from 2023 Buildings & Facilities fund carryover to convert the impound building (currently used for impound storage) into heated storage for Emergency Management equipment. Administrative Coordinator Cassie Hanan said the old highway shop was sold, creating an immediate need for heated storage and that the impound building was identified as a suitable space pending insulation and improvements.
Supv Pedretti expressed skepticism that $31,000 would be realistic to provide insulation and heat. Motion by Supv Schweiger, seconded by Supv Jacobson to adopt the resolution carried on a voice vote. The Finance Director was authorized to amend the 2024 budget accordingly.
