Vernon County supervisors approved Resolution 2024-21, which lists reimbursement amounts the county will pay to towns for bridge and small-structure replacement under state statutes.
Highway Commissioner Phil Hewitt explained the annual process, noting the county’s share is levied across towns so communities collectively assist one another in replacing failing structures. The resolution lists individual town allocations (totaling $115,188.16) for named projects such as Evenstad Road in the Town of Clinton and Brendal Bridge in the Town of Hamburg. The motion to adopt was made by Supv Bringe, seconded by Supv Mitchell, and passed by voice vote.
