IT director outlines NextGen 911, telephony, website and early thoughts on AI adoption

Simon also addressed artificial intelligence, noting both potential uses — automating data flows, document drafting, responding to routine questions and image generation — and concerns about how local government will responsibly adopt AI. "AI can solve a lot of issues, but it also creates some issues," Simon said, urging that adoption be carefully considered and managed.
