Vernon County approved a memorandum of understanding with the Vernon County Deputy Sheriffs Association to correct omitted contract language governing night-differential pay. The MOU amends Appendix A to specify a night differential premium of $0.50 per hour for hours worked between 5 p.m. and 5 a.m., clarifies that shift differentials do not apply to training or meetings, and states the agreement is effective on the last date signed.
Administrative Coordinator Cassandra Hanan said the language was discussed and agreed during negotiations but did not make it into the final contract; the MOU formally corrects that oversight. The Board adopted the MOU on a unanimous voice vote with no recorded objections.
