Helping Hands UP to staff 'Age In Place' table at University Park Meadow Day on June 27

Helping Hands UP discussed joint planning for University Park Meadow Day and Corridor Conversations at its April 22 meeting. Peggy Smith reported that University Park Meadow Day will be held on June 27 and proposed table themes including "Age In Place," tree-snags, and nature-themed coloring pages and small plant giveaways. Committee members Kristen Norton, CM Casey Kelby and CM Mary Gathercole volunteered to staff the Helping Hands table.
The committee saved planning notes and will continue outreach and logistics work in advance of the June 27 event. The Meadow Day appearance is intended to raise awareness of Helping Hands UP services and connect volunteers with residents interested in aging-in-place resources.
