Central Dispatch Director Lance Langdon presented multiple requests to the board on Jan. 28, including a request for a county credit card for central dispatch operations and authorization to pay vendors for maintenance contracts.
The board discussed the credit-card request and referred the matter to the Finance Committee for further review (motion moved by Commissioner Terence Frewen and supported by Commissioner Larry Tiejema). The board also approved payment to Central Square for maintenance by voice vote, with Commissioner Phil Hesche recorded as dissenting on that motion.
During public comment later in the meeting, Langdon reported water damage at central dispatch. The board then authorized the County Administrator to spend up to $16,000 to repair the damage (motion moved by Frewen, supported by Kelley and carried by voice vote). The Central Dispatch written and oral report was received by the board earlier in the meeting.
