Traill County schedules gravel bid opening, approves Bridge 114A resolution and spring load limits

Traill County commissioners on March 3 approved several highway-related actions: setting a gravel bid opening for April 7, approving a resolution for Bridge 114A, and authorizing seasonal load limits for spring.
Road Supervisor Corwyn Martin requested the gravel bid opening and presented a resolution for Bridge 114A from Industrial Builders; the board authorized the chair and auditor to sign the resolution. The board also approved allowing Martin to implement load limits as necessary during the spring season to protect roads.
KLJ engineer Matt Lange told the commission an easement through the county will be brought back at a future meeting, and that KLJ engineer Joel Quanbeck will be on site March 18–19 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for township officials to ask questions about zoning policies. Commissioners scheduled a bid opening for bridges 361 and 374 on March 31, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., and the City of Hillsboro will hold a public input meeting on the Hillsboro bridge March 16 from 5:00–7:00 p.m.
Martin also informed the commission he will retire effective July 30, 2026.
