Commissioner Phil Hesche moved the resolution and Commissioner Terence Frewen supported it; the motion was adopted by roll-call vote with Commissioners Wirtz, Tiejema, Hesche, Kelley, Shattuck and Frewen voting yes.
The tribute and resolution recognized the departments’ response to a recent family-farm fire and acknowledged cross-county cooperation among Ionia, Kent and Montcalm counties. The board’s action was recorded during the New Business portion of the Jan. 28 meeting.
