County commissioners approve multiple appointments to local boards

Ionia County commissioners approved several appointments to county boards and regional bodies during their Jan. 28 meeting.
The board unanimously appointed Mary Lou Mulick to the Tax Allocation Board for a one-year term; the motion was moved by Commissioner Terence Frewen and supported by Commissioner Larry Tiejema. Commissioners also approved Ryan Wilson’s one-year appointment to the West Michigan Regional Planning Commission following a motion by Commissioner Gordon Kelley and support from Commissioner Frewen.
The board appointed David McCord, Diana Almy and Kathleen Cook to the Parks Advisory Board for two-year terms on a motion moved by Commissioner Scott Wirtz and supported by Commissioner Tiejema. Edna Albert was appointed to the Area Agency on Aging of Western Michigan Board of Directors for a two-year term after a motion by Tiejema supported by Frewen.
All appointment motions were carried by voice vote and recorded during the board’s New Business section. The appointments take effect immediately unless otherwise noted by the respective boards.
