Traill County EDC approves minutes and financial reports; Portland board vacancy discussed

The commission approved its Jan. 20 minutes, accepted the January treasurer’s report, and approved checks. Members noted a Portland board vacancy and rescheduled the strategic planning meeting for March.
The Traill County Economic Development Commission carried several routine actions at its Feb. 17 meeting. Gary Nysveen moved to approve the Jan. 20, 2026 minutes; Jami Hovet seconded and the motion carried. Vicky Grothmann moved to approve the January 2026 treasurer’s report; Mark Duncan seconded and the motion carried. Deputy Director Alyssa Short explained benefits adjustments before members voted to approve checks on a motion from Jami Hovet, seconded by David Knudsvig.
Board members also discussed a Portland board member vacancy (one person has expressed interest) and rescheduled the strategic planning meeting for 5 p.m. on March 16. Chair AJ Andresen called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. and adjourned at 6:27 p.m.
