At its March 5 meeting the South Salt Lake Planning Commission passed a motion to forward a recommendation of approval to the City Council for a Title 17 amendment (case OA25‑0009) to allow permeable parking in the Tracy Aviary JRNC District. The motion was moved by Commissioner George Pechmann and seconded by Commissioner Olivia Spencer; Commissioners Dahlberg, Pechmann, Southey, Spencer and Chair Carter voted yes (5‑0).
The motion’s findings limit the exception to the JRNC District and require approval by the City Engineer and the Fire Marshal (or their designees) based on submitted documentation: a parking and traffic study, geotechnical report, drainage plan and report, site plan and a materials gradation report. The commission also approved a motion to adjourn (5‑0).
