Minutes record Commissioner Jeff Sieting’s motion to "use Fund 516 to support the Central Dispatch Projects stated in prior Motions, up to $1,000,000.00, to be paid back over 4 years starting in 2025 for $250,000," language the board approved 7-0. The agreements the board approved to be executed by Chair Kohn Fisher included Tele‑Rad for equipment, Central Square for dispatch software/equipment, Watson for furniture, and Equature for additional equipment.
County officials said the Fund 516 amount will be repaid in equal annual installments of $250,000 in 2025, 2026, 2027 and 2028 and that the county attorney had approved the agreement in form. Commissioners described the package as necessary to modernize dispatch capability and to consolidate multiple procurements under coordinated financing. No public opposition was recorded during the meeting.
Implementation steps include final execution of vendor contracts and budget entries reflecting the Fund 516 loan and repayment schedule.
