EDA certifies closed session and votes to have county assume director's salary for FY2027
Summary

After returning to open session, Hicks moved the statutory certification required by Section 2.2-3712(D) that only lawfully exempted public business was discussed, and Dr. Brandy Rollins seconded that certification. The roll call vote on the certification recorded unanimous "Aye" votes.
Following certification, Dr. Brandy Rollins moved that "Charles City County be responsible for the salary of the Director of the EDA and Tourism for Fiscal Year 2027." Adriane Hicks seconded the motion. Chairman Arnold Brown called for a vote and all members present voted Aye; the motion carried. The minutes record no opposing votes and no amendments to the motion.
