Commission adopts 2026 Corridor Preservation Fund priority list

Scott Lyons (S2) said the list is essentially a "wish list" used to determine eligibility for funding and described valuation and application timing. Lyons noted highlighted items on the distributed list were new additions for 2026. Commissioner S5 moved to accept the Box Elder County 2026 priority list for the Corridor Preservation Fund; the motion was seconded and approved by the commission.
Staff explained that projects must appear on the priority list before an application for funding can be submitted and said the county typically seeds two to four projects per funding cycle from a larger pool of candidates. The commission adopted the list for the 2026 funding cycles and directed staff to send the list to municipal partners for review.
