In two brief community notices, the Board amended and adopted a proclamation designating June 2026 as LGBTQ+ Pride Month in Ingham County (Res. #26-282) after Commissioner Morgan successfully moved language to recognize economic and cultural benefits of diversity. The amended resolution passed with one dissenting vote (Commissioner Schafer).
Separately, the Board adopted Resolution #26-281 congratulating Capital Regional International Airport on 100 years of aviation. Airport Authority members Debbie Groh and Jennifer Jacobs attended and described celebration plans for June 13, 2026 beginning at 10:00 a.m., including community festivities and plane rides for children at Mason Jewett Airport. Those resolutions were approved by roll call.
