Resolutions adopted during the June 9 meeting authorized contracts for Fairgrounds services and several Parks expenditures. Iverson Electric, Inc. was selected to provide Fair Week electrical services and as-needed electrical work (Res. #26-298), and Du-All Cleaning was selected for Fair Week and on-call cleaning services (Res. #26-299). Both contracts were recommended by the Fair Board and funded from the Fair budget.
Parks and Recreation also secured a $20,700 contract with Derrick Tyler Construction, Inc. to install a metal storage building at Burchfield Park with a $5,000 contingency (Res. #26-303), and authorized a budget transfer of $29,904.87 from snow tubing revenue to equipment repair to cover emergency repairs and track replacement for the Hawk Island snow groomer (Res. #26-304). Officials indicated Kässbohrer/PistenBully Minnesota is the sole-source provider for the necessary snow-groomer parts and labor.
