Police Chief Munsterman told council the department served nine search warrants on businesses in an investigation described as involving deceptive practices. Munsterman said it was "interesting to watch the detectives testing evidence retrieved as a result of the warrants." He added that Missouri Attorney General Andrew Hanaway and Johnson County Prosecutor Russell will hold a joint press conference with the Johnson County Sheriff's Office and the Warrensburg Police Department tomorrow at 9:00 a.m. in the Police Conference Room.
City Manager Schrage warned the council that the scheduled press conference would delay the start of the Budget Retreat meeting the following day.
