Resident asks to buy county parcel for egress; commissioners direct further review with Perry City

Community Development Director Scott Lyons explained the county surplus-disposal process (including valuation options) and recommended Carter work with Perry City to confirm that purchasing the parcel would address local development rules.
Commissioners advised Carter to resolve the municipal-easement/egress question with Perry City first; if city regulations would allow the change, the county will assist him in starting the surplus-property process and use the county assessor to determine market value. No motion to sell was made at the meeting; the board limited action to direction to staff and the resident to coordinate next steps.
