Commission appoints new cemetery-board members, ratifies Riverside Corner beer-license consent

The Box Elder County Commission confirmed several appointments to local cemetery boards and ratified a liquor-license consent at its Feb. 11 meeting. County Clerk Marla R. Young told commissioners the board had completed required advertising and that the cemetery boards recommended the candidate appointments.
Commissioner Lee Perry moved to appoint Richard Day to the Willard Precinct Cemetery Maintenance Board; Commissioner Boyd Bingham seconded, and the motion passed on a unanimous roll-call vote. Young then presented appointments for Grouse Creek Cemetery District; commissioners moved, seconded and unanimously approved the appointments of Charles Kimber and Blair Thompson. Later in the meeting Young asked the board to ratify the previously signed Local Consent Form for Riverside Corner's beer license; Commissioner Perry's motion to ratify carried unanimously after the sheriff's office review had been completed.
Clerk Young thanked departing members for their service and indicated advertising and candidate vetting had been completed before the board's votes.
