The Ingham County Board extended its partnership with the Potter Park Zoological Society for five years to continue programming, volunteer coordination, fundraising and education at Potter Park Zoo. The resolution authorizes the County Attorney to prepare the contract and the Board Chair to sign upon approval.
Separately, the Board authorized a contract with Hedrick Associates for purchase and installation of a new boiler in the Potter Park Zoo Discovery Center in the amount of $66,760 plus a 10% contingency ($6,676) and $1,000 for prevailing-wage monitoring, for a total authorization of $74,436 to be paid from the Zoo Fund Balance. County staff said the existing boiler was near end of life and replacement would preserve operations and guest services.
