Ingham County Health Department renews pediatric and OB/GYN contracts to maintain services

The Ingham County Board approved renewals and extensions to maintain clinical staffing at county Community Health Centers. The Board authorized renewing an agreement with MSU Health Care, Inc. to provide up to 3.4 FTEs in pediatric and adolescent provider services for an annual amount not to exceed $1,300,000 (effective July 1, 2026–June 30, 2027) to sustain access and residency training capacity.
Separately, the Board extended an agreement with University of Michigan Health–Sparrow for 1.0 FTE Obstetrics/Gynecology physician oversight (through June 30, 2027) at a cost not to exceed $418,363. County staff said these contracts secure physician oversight, ensure continuity of care and support training and supervision of advanced practice providers across community health locations.
