The Cedar Park Type B board voted to approve the recommended FY2027 Type B budget after a presentation by Finance Director Bridal Solis.
Solis explained the Type B portion of sales tax mechanics and presented the FY27 revenue and expense estimates: projected sales tax revenue of $13,170,000 and $75,000 in interest income for a total proposed revenue estimate she described on the slides. She said projected net revenues of roughly $5,900,000 would add to fund balance, and the proposed ending fund balance was shown as approximately $11,500,000 with a reserve requirement of $3,200,000 (about two months of sales tax plus one year of debt service).
Board members asked for clarification on specific line items, such as what 'Perfect Game' referred to in the debt service entry and where the roughly $700,000 in project savings came from; Solis said the $700,000 has already returned to the fund and she will provide project-level details at the next quarterly CIP update. After questions, a motion to approve item D2 as presented was seconded and carried with no opposed votes recorded.
