During its Dec. 10 session the County Wide Improvement Committee discussed plans to disband the panel once CWIC funds are fully disbursed and raised the possibility of closing account #445. Commissioners and staff noted that remaining funds will need to be prioritized and that a number of previously approved or planned projects may not receive allocation as the account winds down.
County Clerk Deborah Hill specifically noted concern that generator and security projects — described in the minutes as primary projects from the program’s start — could be left incomplete. The committee did not adopt a final decision on disbanding or account closure and left the items for future review.
