Council votes to advertise ordinance to accept Hensley Street into borough road system

A council member presented an ordinance to accept a segment of Hensley Street (a recently developed stub between General Sutter Avenue and West Marion Street) into the borough's public road system and moved to advertise the ordinance for an August hearing.
Elijah, the managing director of planning and development, explained the street was not yet fully complete but the developer planned to begin paving in early August and punch-list items remained. "At this point, they have not. This is to advertise the ordinance that would allow acceptance at in August," Elijah said, adding the solicitor had reviewed the deeds and bills of sale and staff would notify impacted property owners ahead of the hearing. Council voted to advertise the ordinance and the public hearing was set for the August meeting.
