A council member said the extension "would be an increase of about 12 less than $12 per household" in the borough's cost, and Rob confirmed that the contract extension increases the borough's expense but the council was not at that meeting approving a direct increase to customer rates. "We are not approving an increase to the customer's rates, but there is an increase in our cost," a council member clarified during the exchange. Council moved to approve the one-year extension and the motion carried by voice vote.
