Meck presented the job description and noted the goal is to give a local youth hands‑on exposure to civic leadership and public service; Mayor George said the position was initiated by the candidate herself.
Wolfe spoke briefly and said she is interested in law and politics and hopes the internship will help her determine if the career path is a fit. Council emphasized that the intern would not speak on behalf of the Borough and expressed support for institutionalizing the position for future summers.
