Council’s Streets & Traffic Subcommittee moved to advertise an ordinance amendment that would establish a four‑way stop at North Cedar and North New and change Pine Lane to one‑way northbound between West Orange and West Main. Carpenter noted the Borough’s traffic engineer completed a warrant analysis supporting the recommendations.
During public input, resident Bob Bergman queried whether Pine Lane south of West Orange was included; Chief Hahn said it was not. Neighbor Karen Weibel requested notification to adjacent residents and traffic counts; Yearick said he would follow up with the study data. Carpenter moved to advertise the amendment and Bergman seconded; Council approved the advertisement unanimously and the Subcommittee agreed to meet on‑site with neighbors before the adoption vote.
