The Floyd County Board of Supervisors approved its agenda and minutes for Jan. 19 and Jan. 20, 2026 in a 3–0 vote and carried a separate motion to approve county claims numbered #1635–1684 and engineer claims #10446–10453. Supervisors Rottinghaus and Campbell sponsored the motions; each action was recorded as "motion carried 3-0."
The Board also approved an appropriation of $75,000 from the General Basic Fund to the Emergency Management Fund and noted the hiring of Equipment Operator II Mark Bailey at $24.92 per hour, effective Feb. 2, 2026. Supervisors approved a $2.00-per-hour temporary increase for Alan Schwickerath (to $29.75/hour), retroactive to Jan. 12, 2026, to compensate for additional dispatch/communications duties. The meeting recessed for FY27 budget reviews and adjourned after routine business.
