Kay County approves payroll, claims and FY2025-26 purchase orders including major payables

The Kay County Board approved payroll (warrants to be released Feb. 26, 2026), Maintenance & Operation claims, and Blanket Purchase Orders. The motion carried with Kreger, Jones and Shanks voting aye.
The County Clerk presented a detailed list of FY2025-2026 purchase orders and claims including: Jail Debt-ST Collections Kay County JFA #124183 for $373,635.31; Generator (Full Speed Electric LLC) $85,500.00; assorted leases and equipment payments (Caterpillar Financial Services Corp $135,870.00; multiple Oklahoma Department of Transportation lease payments); and smaller items such as office supplies and parts. The minutes state that detailed records are available in the County Clerk’s Office and that all records are open for public inspection during regular office hours.
The board also approved the County Treasurer’s Summary of Collections for January 2026 and monthly reports from the Assessor and Court Clerk during the same meeting.
