Board approves right-of-way report and sets July 21 bid date for Drainage District No. 62 improvements

The Board voted to approve the right-of-way acquisition report and directed the Auditor to issue recommended compensation to affected landowners; Supervisor Craig Merrill abstained from that vote. The Board also accepted the plans and specifications for the DD62 Main Open Ditch Improvement and set the bid letting for July 21, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. in the Courthouse boardroom; Merrill again recorded an abstention on that motion.
Landowners and interested parties were present for the hearing, including Dave Kassel, Paul and Joann Herbers and others. The Board's actions move the DD62 project into the bidding phase with compensation recommendations to landowners.
