Roscommon County sets aside $25,000 to establish Freshwater Trails Fund

The Roscommon County Board of Commissioners authorized Administrator/Controller Jodi Shaltz to allocate $25,000 from the Economic Development Special Projects Fund to a newly established Freshwater Trails Fund. The motion, moved by Commissioner Marc J. Milburn and seconded by Commissioner Kim Morley, passed unanimously on roll call April 22.
According to the motion record, the set-aside "shall be utilized to finalize and maintain the Freshwater Trails project, including kiosks, brochures and annual upkeep." The allocation is a one-time transfer from the county's Economic Development Special Projects Fund and the Board recorded no amendments to the motion during the meeting.
