Cleveland County opens bids for asphalt contract and health-department renovations, postpones award
Summary
On Feb. 10 the Board opened bids for HWY-2134 asphalt placement (March–May 2025) and HD-2125 health-department renovations; the Board accepted but postponed award pending Purchasing Department tabulation.
Purchasing staff opened two bid packages during the Feb. 10 meeting and the Board accepted the bids while postponing award decisions to allow Purchasing to tabulate and qualify respondents.
For Bid #HWY-2134 (three-month contract to provide hot-mix asphalt placement, March 1–May 31, 2025) bidders included Haskell Lemon Group, Silver Star Construction and First Water Contracting LLC. For Bid #HD-2125 (renovation of Moore and Norman Health Department buildings) select packages were re-bid, including architectural wood casework and storefront/glazing, and multiple vendors were recorded. The Board directed Purchasing to return with tabulations and qualifications before awarding contracts.
