Cass County highlights nearly $8 million CSAH 70 reconstruction after ACEC nomination

County Administrator Josh Stevenson told the Cass County Board on Feb. 17 that the CSAH 70 reconstruction in East Gull Lake cost "nearly $8 million" and that the project has been nominated by the American Council of Engineering Consultants (ACEC) for a national award to be announced in May.
Engineer Darrick Anderson told the Board the project spanned seven years after a US Army Corps of Engineers decision to cancel a road lease across the Gull River Dam and that about $6.4 million of the budget was covered by federal funds. Final surface and turf work remain; Anderson said final touches will be completed this spring once turf is established. The Board received and filed the announcement and expressed appreciation for the project team.
