The Washington County Commission adopted Resolution 26-06-08 authorizing disposition of Washington County Sheriff’s Office surplus property on GovDeals.com. Commissioner Jerome Fitzgerald moved to adopt and Commissioner Freddie Malone seconded; the minutes record adoption by roll-call vote with no recorded opposition.
On the same agenda, the board adopted two memoranda of understanding with East Tennessee State University for clinical affiliations: Resolution 26-06-09 (ETSU — Clinical Affiliation Social Work) and Resolution 26-06-10 (ETSU — Counseling). Commissioner Jerome Fitzgerald moved for adoption of the social-work MOU (seconded by Kenneth Huffine) and moved (seconded by Lewis Wexler) for the counseling MOU; both were recorded as adopted by roll-call vote with no opposition recorded in the minutes.
The minutes record the board’s formal approvals but do not include the full MOU text. Departments implementing these agreements are expected to coordinate directly with ETSU according to standard affiliation processes.
