The superintendent recommended and the board approved a series of personnel actions, including retirements, professional employment, leaves of absence, substitutes and paraprofessional appointments, degree changes, volunteer placements at Joseph C. Caruso School, spring coaching and advisor positions at Kingsburg schools, and professional development items requiring $150+ authorization. The board moved and voted to approve the superintendent's list by roll call.
Board members asked about specific items: a trustee asked for clarification on item 6 (a volunteer placement) and was told the volunteer is a child of a teacher and that the district is an approved site for the volunteer. Trustees also discussed policy items listed for first and second reading, including NJAC fiscal accountability and budgeting procedures, and approved those readings. The business administrator also asked the board to approve submission of a New Jersey learning acceleration high-impact tutoring grant that would run from 05/01/2026 to 05/31/2027; trustees indicated support by voice/roll call.
