Kingsburg board recognizes educator Erin Gomez and celebrates student athletic milestones

The Kingsburg Board of Education took time on Feb. 16 to recognize classroom and student achievements across the district.
Board member (Speaker 4) told the board the district was "privileged... to receive the exemplary educator award from miss Erin Gomez," and praised her in-class engagement and after-school tutoring. The board also acknowledged Miss Davis’s upcoming retirement and congratulated staff for long service.
A student representative (Speaker 6) delivered the student report, noting the boys basketball team finished 14–11 (an improvement of five wins), and that the girls basketball team posted a school-record 24 wins. The student report named individual honors: Eysan Young (first-team all division), Gabriela Flintstone (Sea North player of the year, All Shore honorable mention), Princess Graves and Gianna Bevinger (first-team honors), and reported that wrestler Sean Ritter became regional champion and finished with a career total of 124 wins.
The board and audience offered public congratulations and thanked coaches, staff and volunteers for the work supporting athletics and student activities.
