BOCC approves routine purchase orders, claims and payroll; sheriff reports locksmith issue

The Kay County Board on Feb. 9 approved payroll warrants to be released Feb. 13, maintenance and operation claims, and blanket purchase orders. The record includes numerous purchase orders and claims across departments with vendors and amounts listed in the minutes; the County Clerk noted that detailed records are available for public inspection.
Under new business, Sheriff Steve Kelley reported that Junior’s Lock and Alarm inspected the Administration Building’s north door and the entrance safe. He said parts are being ordered and the locksmith may need to drill into the safe to open it. The board carried the payroll and claims motion unanimously.
