The Oneida County Board of Adjustment voted 4–1 on May 7, 2026 to uphold the administrative revocation of three tourist rooming house permits held by Pine Harbor Beach Bar & Grill LLC (Appeal No. 2600087). The permits in question were #2301235, #2400353 and #2400364 for properties at 3997 Trails End Road and 3983 & 3985 Harbor Road in the Town of Pine Lake. Chair Guy Hansen presided and adjourned the meeting at 10:15 a.m.
Agent Kirk Ecklund testified on behalf of the appellant, explaining reasons why renewal applications and fees were not submitted before the department deadline. County staff — Todd Troskey, Assistant Director, and Scott Ridderbusch, Land Use Specialist — described the administrative renewal process and provided a processing timeline. Neighboring property owner Mike Tolvstad asked the board to consider reinstatement to preserve the cabins and permit continued business use. A motion by Member Mike Pazdernik to reinstate the three permits at a total cost of $1,500 failed for lack of a second. Member Dan Chronister then moved, and Member Jeff Verdoorn seconded, a motion to uphold the revocations. The recorded vote was Pazdernik: "no"; Chronister: "yes"; Viegut: "yes"; Verdoorn: "yes"; Hansen: "yes." The motion carried; the board stated the property owner may reapply for permits in 2027.
