CSB outlines staffing options after school clinician cuts; nine vacancies remain

Community Services Board staff told the board on March 2 that the agency currently has nine open positions, including one clinical vacancy, and described a process for affected staff to express interest in other openings. "The CSB has nine open positions currently, with one being clinical," staff member Ivy Sager explained, and she described the reassignment process for the three staff affected by the School Board funding reduction.
Board members questioned how the agency could continue preventive services with fewer staff. Tawana Hampton said she felt the CSB was moving from prevention toward reaction, and Nathan Globig asked how support for schools would be provided with reduced headcount. Staff replied the three floating positions funded by the county and grant support would be deployed alongside school staff and other CSB staff, and that program planning would prioritize coverage around the available positions.
The session did not include a formal vote on staffing actions. The Board identified data requests and committee-level coordination with the School Board as next steps to inform staffing decisions.
