Council hears proposal for harm-reduction vending machine; Froedtert in Mequon identified as potential host

Alex Weiland, coordinator for the council, told members that Washington Ozaukee Public Health has identified a potential site in Ozaukee County for a harm-reduction vending machine and that Froedtert in Mequon has expressed interest in hosting.
"Washington Ozaukee Public Health has a potential site for a harm reduction vending machine in Ozaukee County. Froedtert in Mequon is interested in hosting this for us, and the department may be tasked with finding funding if they are unable to financially support this," Weiland said. Council members did not record a formal action on funding during the meeting, but the report places responsibility on staff to explore funding options if the host cannot cover costs.
