Public health warns of pertussis, flu and norovirus; radon tests still available

Ozaukee County Public Health reported on Feb. 10 that the county is seeing a continued increase in pertussis and seasonal influenza activity. Kim Buechler, representing the department, told the ADRC board that "January 2025 was Radon awareness month. There are still Radon tests available at the Public Health Department," and she also noted local norovirus activity that typically lasts 24–48 hours.
Buechler advised residents to consult the Public Health website for warming-site locations and other resources. The minutes record these items as informational updates to the ADRC board; no formal actions were taken in response during this meeting.
