The Huachuca City Council voted on several routine and substantive items on March 12, 2026. On the consent agenda the council approved the minutes of the Feb. 12, 2026 regular meeting and the Payment Approval Report on a single motion moved by Mayor Johann Wallace and seconded by Christy Hirshberg.
Later in the meeting the council voted unanimously on several separate motions: directing staff to begin the truth-in-taxation public-notice process (motion moved by Johann Wallace, seconded by Debra Trate); approving submission of Congressionally Directed Spending requests for a ladder fire truck and water-meter upgrades (moved by Johann Wallace, seconded by Christy Hirshberg); and adopting Resolution 2026-01 to enter an IGA with Cochise County for pooled opioid settlement funds (moved by Johann Wallace, seconded by Christy Hirshberg). The meeting adjourned by unanimous vote.
