Huachuca City joins Cochise County opioid-settlement pool; council approves IGA

Harvey said the county has about $3,000,000 collected so far from multiple jurisdictions and that Huachuca City’s pooled share would be about $28,000.
Harvey said the IGA creates an advisory board on which she would serve to represent the town’s interests and that the pooled funds may support countywide projects to mitigate the opioid crisis. The council approved Resolution 2026-01 unanimously.
The town will participate in the county advisory process to propose or vet mitigation projects; specifics of eligible projects and timelines will depend on county planning and the advisory board’s recommendations.
