Town Manager Suzanne Harvey reported to the council that the Greater Arizona Development Authority (GADA) approved a low-interest, long-term loan of $4,529,000 that the town expects to use to purchase badly needed heavy equipment for landfill and public works.
Manager Harvey said the loan approval will allow the town to budget for acquisition and maintenance of the equipment rather than making one-time purchases. The minutes record the dollar amount and the intended uses; they do not record a separate council vote to accept or obligate the funds.
