The Huachuca City Council voted to hold a work session at 6 p.m. on April 2, 2026, to explore whether to annex land along Highway 90 north of town and parcels in the 400 and 500 blocks of Lower Huachuca City. Town Manager Suzanne Harvey told the council staff will evaluate costs to extend services, gauge property-owner interest, and estimate benefits to current residents.
"I wanted this back on the agenda so we can get a work session scheduled and really get into it and see what we are looking at," Mayor Johann Wallace said. The council directed staff to prepare the information and return to the work session for more detailed study; no formal annexation decision was taken at the March 26 meeting.
