EDA approves minutes and records votes on tourism grant support at Jan. 14 meeting

The Hanover County Economic Development Authority approved the Dec. 3, 2025 minutes (motion by Wayne Waldrop; seconded by Carey Carlisle; vote: 6 Aye) and approved support for a revamped tourism grant application (moved by Carey Carlisle; seconded by Sam Zeidan; vote: 5 Aye, 1 absent).
The EDA voted to approve the minutes of its Dec. 3, 2025 meeting. Mr. Wayne Waldrop moved to approve the minutes as written and Ms. Carey Carlisle seconded; recorded votes were Aye from Trey Hayden, Ed Kieper, Carey Carlisle, Wayne Waldrop, Sam Zeidan and James Zemp, and the motion passed.
On the tourism item, Chairman Trey Hayden asked for a motion to support a revamped Hanover Tourism Grant application. Ms. Carey Carlisle moved to support the revamped application and Mr. Sam Zeidan seconded; the vote was recorded Aye from Hayden, Kieper, Carlisle, Waldrop and Zeidan (James Zemp had exited the meeting prior to this vote). The EDA approved support for the revised application; staff will circulate the revised materials to members for input.
