The superintendent presented an extensive personnel and programs slate covering items 1–41 that included personnel actions such as refusals of position, resignations, leaves of absence, conversion of a part-time literacy coach to a full-time role, supervisor of athletics, multiple coach/advisor positions across schools, and approvals for summer program staffing and interns.
"Superintendent of schools recommends positive action on the following items," the superintendent stated while listing hires, summer hours, substitute staffing, and program positions the district wants to authorize. A board member asked questions about specific items, and during the vote one member stated they would recuse themselves on items 16 and 24. After a motion and second, the board approved the superintendent’s recommendations as presented.
The slate also included authorization for technology and curriculum renewals, acceptance of the 21st Century Community Learning Center grant and the Perkins Secondary Consolidated Grant, and a recommendation to award a professional services contract to update the district long-range facilities plan.
