Hospital staff presented slides showing patient-service revenue, operating revenue and expenses for fiscal years 2024–26 and said that while the most recent year produced positive operations, the three-year trailing average remains negative because of earlier losses.
"This fiscal year, we did really well... we actually had a positive operation this year," the hospital presenter said. The slides showed capital investments of roughly $6.0 million in FY24, nearly $2.0 million in FY25 and $1.7 million in FY26 and a three-year average capital value of about $3.0 million.
Committee members questioned whether the full list of requested capital for FY27–28 — including a projected ED expansion that staff estimated informally could be significantly larger than the lease spreadsheet figure — is achievable given contractor availability and rising costs. Staff said they are pursuing grant and philanthropic support and have submitted LOIs for two items (integration/OR remodel and fetal-monitoring/neonatal telehealth) and expect decisions by the end of the month.
